Focusing on Persistent High-Risk HPV Infection, Addressing Unmet Patient Needs
Persistent infection with high-risk human papillomavirus (hrHPV) is the primary cause of cervical cancer and related cervical lesions. Southeast Asia bears a substantial burden of HPV infection and cervical cancer, making it one of the key regions for cervical cancer prevention and control.
As HPV screening and early detection programs continue to expand, increasing numbers of women with hrHPV infection are being identified. However, effective interventions specifically targeting persistent hrHPV infection remain limited, leaving a significant unmet clinical need.
SR BioPharma Pte. Ltd. was established in Singapore by SR BioPharma (Hainan) Group Co., Ltd. (SRP). The company focuses on the R&D and commercialization of innovative anti-HPV technologies and products, with a commitment to developing new solutions for persistent hrHPV infection, reducing the risk of HPV-related diseases and cervical cancer, and protecting women’s health.
SR BioPharma (Hainan) Group Co., Ltd. (SRP) is a biotechnology company dedicated to innovative biopharmaceutical R&D and commercialization. SRP was established in the Medical Valley of Haikou, China, in 2006, with its research activities tracing back to a research institute established in Maryland, USA, in 2000.
SRP established two subsidiaries in China Medical City, Taizhou, China, in 2013, a marketing center in Hong Kong in 2019, and SR BioPharma Pte. Ltd. in Singapore in 2022, progressively building an international R&D and commercialization network.
For more than 20 years, SRP has focused on HPV infection and related diseases. Targeting the key pathogenic mechanisms underlying persistent hrHPV infection, SRP has developed a proprietary molecular-targeted anti-HPV core technology and, based on this technology, developed the REBACIN® series of anti-HPV products.
These efforts have established an integrated innovation platform spanning basic research, mechanism of action, product development, clinical research, and commercialization.
SRP has established several provincial and municipal R&D platforms, including the Hainan Provincial Key Laboratory of Protein Engineering and Drug Development, the Haikou Engineering R&D Center for Life Science Medicines, and the Taizhou R&D Center for Antiviral Medicines, supporting the continued development of innovative anti-HPV technologies and products.
Since its establishment, SRP has received national, provincial, and municipal research funding for more than 30 R&D projects. The company has been recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise since 2012 and was recognized as a Specialized, Sophisticated, Distinctive and Innovative Enterprise in Hainan Province in 2021.
Based on more than 20 years of anti-HPV research, a proprietary core technology platform, and a growing body of scientific and clinical evidence, SR BioPharma is advancing the global development and commercialization of innovative anti-HPV products, with the goal of providing new solutions for persistent hrHPV infection and related diseases and creating long-term value for women’s cervical health worldwide.
